LG Smart ThinQ - Component

yip, device type was not recognised. Support’s been added recently though

Anyone else seeing Smart ThinQ errors in the last 24 hours… Works , doesnt work, Works etc… (everything else seems ok, no terms to accept in app)

  • Device 06XXX (REFRIGERATOR): Connection to ThinQ failed. Timeout error
  • Device 06XX (REFRIGERATOR): Connection to ThinQ failed. Network connection error

Status for device Refrigerator was reset because disconnected or unreachable

Which integration are you using? I’m controlling 3 aircon units with this integration and did not experience any outages at all:

Hi i’m new with HA, i have setup HACS, but cant setup LG !
When i try to add device, it shows an error,
Canot setup LG with user interface. From were should i setup LG?

Home Assistant Core 2022.6.7
Versão de Frontend: 20220601.0 - latest

Hope someone can help

What does that text say in English?

This integration does not support configuration through the user interface. If you followed this link from the Home Assistant website, make sure you’re running the latest version of Home Assistant.

What component are you using? Make sure it’s up to date.

Sorry, i dont get your question. I followed all the instructions, HACS installed, Smart Thinq LGE Sensors installed, i try to add the integration, when select Smart Thinq LGE sensors, i get that error, cant get to the next step, login

Try clearing your cache.

I already try that a few times

How did you try to clear it?

Clear my browsers cache.

How are you accessing HA? In Chrome?

Android chrome, linux firefox, android companion app. Always the same error

Just the Refrigerator - It magically corrected its self approx 24+hrs after failing

After re adding the integration, I’m getting “Signature doesn’t match request” error after login to lg account.
Tried another account, same thing. mobile app working, language and country are correct.
Any advice?

Just installed this and I’ve got the data coming through nicely!

That said, the data comes through very slowly - I suspect this is simply the api they provide, but I was testing running an automation to turn a lamp on when the fridge door is open.
It comes through but takes a good 30 seconds or so after the door has been opened

Just want to confirm this is expected behaviour?

I think, it is on their side.
The app from LG gives a message, when someone puts the freezer in ExpressFreeze mode. That message also comes delayed…

Thanks this integration is working well with my washing machine and dryer.

One feature request:

I would like to load the washer/ dryer and hit delayed start, then when HA determines, low cost/ excess solar to remotely switch on.

This doesn’t seem to be supported at present.

The LG app supports remote start, but not the HA integration.

For my other non-smart appliances, I have a smart plug that HA can switch.

Use the smartthinq_sensors.remote_start service?
