When you setup the WebOS you must make sure SmartApp is enabled in TV. In HASS webui you will get a configure button, press this and the pairing will start and you need to Accept on the TV.
It did not work when I asked for help. But yesterday evening I was able to control the Volume and turn OFF the TV, but was not able to turn it ON again. Also the pause button did not work. The original Android App for TV works fine.
I have paired it with this code, but HA is still telling me that a device was found and I should pair it. It is stated as HomeKit device. Should I install some HomeKit component???
But I couldn’t find the LG Connected APPs on my TV. Turns out It was automatically on.
With the correct config in configuration.yaml I then got a second notification of the TV being found from Home Assistant. Clicking on it (HA Notification), it pairs with the TV and then works.
TV: OLED55B9PLA
Software: 04.70.04 (TV says it’s the latest)
Connectivity: LAN
The device is discovered with the most basic configuration:
media_player:
- platform: webostv
name: TV
When I click “configure” in HA, I see a QR code and pairing code on the screen. No matter how I type it (HA says XXX-XX-XXX) I only get a new pairing code from the TV.
The declaration change doesn’t address the pairing issue. I still can’t pair my SM9000 with latest firmware 04.71.04 and hassio 104.1 on pi3b+. It just doesn’t take the pairing code.
Hello, did anybody get it work?
Same problem with LG TV 65NANO863. Configured by YAML, but in States I can see only:
configure_id: 1907551728-1
fields:
friendly_name: LG TV Obyvak
entity_picture: null
description: |-
Click start and accept the pairing request on your TV.
