I have a LG OLED TV with webOS. The component worked really great for a while but since a couple of weeks I have some weird behaviour.
The state switches from off to ‘playing’ and back to off very often while I am watching something. I’ve a LED strip behind my TV which I turn on/off based on those states. With this bug the light always switches on/off after a couple of minutes which is very annoying.
Still have this problem. Anyone else?
I don’t know that I’ve ever looked at the status.
When I get home again I’ll have to look and see what it says.
Are you using wireless or ethernet?
it’s not a solution to the specific problem, but you could add a “for” condition to the trigger of the LED strip to filter out brief state transitions
I’ve seen similar behaviour on other devices connected through WiFi, I think it’s simply the normal behaviour to briefly lose WiFi connection, therefore a trigger should take that into consideration.
Also, it’s not easy to relate these events to the environment in order to prevent them, so I guess we should simply consider them possible.
