I bought this TV because the box said it “works with . . .” just about every platform.
Both the HA Homekit and the HA LG webOS TV integrations can turn off the TV, but the TV then gets the status “Unavailable”, and you can’t turn it back on.
Alexa doesn’t have this problem; it can turn the TV on or off.
Is there something I’m missing here?

I think there was a recent breaking change that outlined this changed condition.
There were a change yes, but the TV also needs to have a few settings enabled, that comes as default set to off, like Quick Start and it probably needs to be connected through Ethernet, since Wake on LAN over WiFi require networks rk gear that can handle that which is not common in most network gear.
