After upgrade to HA Core 0.109.3, my LG WebOs tv is always unavailable after HA restart until I manually switch on the tv with physical remote.
After this operation, the component shows the correct state in HA and all operations are possible.
This behavior was not present in previous HA release (0.108.x).
Additionally I had a problem with this component during the first run of HA after upgrade: the lg webos media_player component was not present into HA.
Thank you.
I think it is a bit different.
In my issue, the first time, the component was not present at all, so after turning on the tv manually the component was discovered and present into HA.
Thereafter, the component is always present in HA but the state is not available after restarting HA.
To have a correct state I have to change manually the tv switch. From this point on, the behavior is correct.
EDIT:
I found that it’s already tracked in https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/34877
Just an update.
Last evening after an upgrade to HA Core 0.109.5 as usually LG WebOS was unavailable.
No one had turned on the tv during the evening but at 2:40 AM (in the middle of the night) the state of the LG media player changed from unavailable to off !!
Maybe this information could be useful to developers, I don’t know if during the night HA does some activities (purge, cleaning, alignment …).
Same issue, unavailable after restart.
webostv mediaplayer return back on if I manually turn on the tv only.
with a switch I can turn on the TV even if it’s unaivalable :
- platform: wake_on_lan
name: LG tv
mac: !secret tvlg_mac
