Has anyone else experienced issues with Lifx since the August release? For us the scenes keep going unavailable. Once we reboot they’re back.
Thank you,
David

I’m seeing a lot more disconnections logged. However the lights continue to function.
I figured it was just better error reporting, but do not know for sure.
If you are not using the lifx.set_state
service or any of the Lifx effects you could try the Homekit Connect integration instead.
Wouldn’t that be something already built into the integration?
Wouldn’t what be built in?
To which integration, Homekit Connect or Lifx?
The Lifx integration.
I’m asking about integration of Lifx scenes in Home Assistant. I do not have HomeKit or any Apple devices.
You don’t need them.
Home Assistant supports communicating directly with Lifx bulbs via the Homekit Connect protocol. It is local push IoT class which is the best.
Then there is the Lifx integration which is local polling. Not as good but still local.
Neither of these support Lifx scenes as far as I am aware though.
Only the Lifx cloud integration does that. And well… it’s cloud based so expect more latency and possible network issues.
I still don’t know what you were asking here:
