Lighting control based on outside temperature

I’m trying to create an automation that turns on the outside lights if the outside temp is below 60F and the sun is down. It needs to run on a schedule in case the temperature drops well after sundown. I have gotten my automation to trigger only when the temp goes below 60 for the first time.

It doesn’t need to run on a schedule if you set it up the right way. You need to trigger both on sundown and on temp going below. Then in the conditions, test both conditions again. See the community guide below, especially the part from the chapters " My automation does not always work (AKA: why won’t the trigger always fire)"

Thank you. Giving this a try.
