I have these Clipsal Wiser dimmer switch which connect with Zigbee, I’m trying to make an automation that will set their brightness throughout the day.
I tried to use Automation so that when the light is turned during a certain time the light is turned on and the brightness is set but what ends up happening is the that when the light are turned on they go up the brightness set in the automation then go back down to what were last set to.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
If the dimmer switch directly controls the light, there is not much you can do about it. There is no way to set a brightness without the light turning on. So unless HA turns the light on with the right brightness itself, your only solution is to react to the dimmer turning the light on, and then setting the brightness afterward.
Yes the dimmer controls the light (The lights them self aren’t smart), that’s what I was attempting to do was turn the light on then change the brightness but it seems to reset after I change it
