I can change the area but not the name
I am sure I can change it by directly editing the DB like others suggested but I am a little nervous to try that. The door and automations are both working , just stuck with the name so not a super biggie.
When you attempt to change it do you get any errors in the Home Assistant log?
None that I can see.
Sounds like a weird frontend issue.
Well my automations all came through just fine and that is what I was really worried about.
Only thing I am going to worry about now is getting the door lock battery status back on the dashboard then I am good.
I couldn’t leave well enough alone and you were right. It won’t let you remove, delete or Cntrl X the new device name but you can paste over it and then it will accept it. I will play around with this over the weekend just to be sure it won’t throw off homekit again before I make wholesale changes…
