I have a Daikin air conditioning system that is controlled by the brp069c8x WiFi module. Since this module doesn’t offer local control and everything has to go through the cloud, additional steps are required to integrate it with Home Assistant to my understanding. Based on my research, I need to create an application in the Daikin Europe Developer Portal. When I try to enter the URI “https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/oauth,” I keep getting the following error: “unable to create DCR from HTTP Invalid response: Error: invalid dcr http response.” Am I missing something?
I am very new to Home Assistant and have little experience with its configuration.
It would help if you stated which integration you are trying to use. For Daikin integration of modern devices there are two options available to you. Neither of which are native to Home Assistant.
Option 1 is a custom ESP device installed inside the unit.
Option 2 is to use HACS to install this custom component.
Option 2 is probably what you are using, but you have to follow the instructions exactly as stated.
I’m having the same issue when trying to create a new application in the Daikin developer portal. Has anybody been able to create a new application recently?
the Daikin Europe Developer Portal tells that the Application creation is temporary unavailable , please use temporary credentials - you can find them on the ONECTA Cloud API - getting started page,
follow the instruction it’s quite simple, when you reach the moment where you add the integration use the name “daikin_onecta”
i did it today and it works
ps im new in home assistant so i used some help from chatgpt, i have to say that it helped a lot to install hacs
