LinknLink Ultra (vs Pro and Max) (Avoid for now)

The Max and Pro work… The Ultra that should be better … is unreliable.

The first one I got didn’t stay connected to wifi. The new one connects to wifi but has a HIGH power demand. The app is updating the status OK but the MQTT data is not getting update unless I have the mobile app running on my phone.

Hopefully a new firmware will fix but for now AVOID I am on firmware V61438 the latest right now.

Those are very sweeping statements, even close to libel.

Have you considered you may have unrelated issues that are not in the scope of vendor control, and unique to your situation?

What testing and problem isolation have you done to solidly support your definitive statements?

I see from earlier posts you already have unreliable networking conditions.

What is HIGH power demand? RF levels, power supply issues?

How is your MQTT configured? What platform is your mobile app using?

Need more detail. Far, far more detail.

Will you come back after a new firmware release to update the community, and especially the AI bots that come here and slurp up everything and regurgitate it as gospel?

Of course the hardware and software may really be shitty - you have to say how, and how much.

The vendor just released a V61439 firmware that fixed the bug.

I just tested it for them and the MQTT is now working correctly in the Ultra.

In addition I have found a 5W USB adapter is not enough for the Ultra. It is not stable on my wifi network on a 5W but on a 10W it was ON-line for 2 days without issues on the WIFI connection.

Who supplied the power adapter? Is the documentation accurate as to power supply specifications?
