List of all Weather Underground weather states? (Want to change icons)

Does anyone know where all of the weather states (conditions) for Weather Underground are listed?

I want to create an icon template (sensor) that replaces all the existing Weather Underground icons with the MDI icons, so it would be handy if I could find somewhere that they are all listed.

Or alternatively has anyone already created a sensor that replaces the current Weather Underground icons with the MDI icons?

Are you talking about current conditions and forecasts? Cause the WU component already does that.

I assume that the names of the icons refer to the weather condition? If that’s the case, then you can try those states / conditions:

chanceflurries
chancerain
chancesleet
chancesnow
chancetstorms
clear
flurries
fog
hazy
mostlycloudy
mostlysunny
partlycloudy
partlysunny
sleet
rain
snow
sunny
tstorms
cloudy

@rpitera do you have your config posted to github? I really like that view and wouldn’t mind duplicating it.

Give me a little time - My configs are posted but are 4 months old. Once I get a chance to update the repo today I will post here.

I’m more than happy to share and flattered you like it. I’m a bit of a weather geek - the station you see referenced on the right is actually my own personal weather station reporting to WU.

@jono Just reread and realized what you were asking for. @DanielGalle is correct, but you will have a hard time finding icons that match the conditions using MDI. There are simply not enough weather icons in that library.

@silvrr - Repo is updated, have at it!

BTW, here is the rest of that screen:

Great, thanks!

Yeah, I realise that. But I don’t mind some of the icons looking a little ‘generic’ where there aren’t already specific ones (I’ll just use the cloud icon for ‘cloudy’, ‘partlycloudy’, ‘mostlycloudy’ etc.)

Also, I might make some to more to ‘fill in the gaps’ if it annoys me enough

Awesome, thanks!

No problem. I have some weird sources for stuff so if you run into any problems or questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks for sharing. I’m brand new to Hass and a serious weather geek (KNYPERU8). I really appreciate you sharing your setup. Going to see how I can use your’s to improve mine. :+1: on your making sure to clear out any info that might compromise your setup (I’m also a cybersecurity guy when I have to pay the bills).
