Little problem dont know how to solve entities unavailable

Hi,

since my last power failure i have the problem, that my knx devices become unavailable every x (3-6) minutes in their states. Restarting HA does not solve the problem.

I had this problem one month ago after update process to HA Version 11.2. I used my backup to go back to earlier version and it was gone. Now it is here again.

How can i check why this problem occurs. Mainly i only recognized it by my knx integration where i want to switch on all lights or turn on all covers. Normally the covers will close at the same time. When i come into a weaky phase than the covers will turn cover after cover. It seems that the knx telegrams are “slower”.

Maybe someone has an idea…

Start by looking through the logs for clues.

Hi :wave:! This usually means that the connection to the Knx IP interface gets disconnected. Originating either from HA, but most commonly from the device itself - see logs.
Is HA the only thing using that device?

The MDT IP interface is only used by HA. KNX Bus itself is also used by KNX sensors (knx switches i.e.) which works without any problems so far.

A view days ago i lost the connection to this interface while power failure of HA. Then i had to reconfigure the ip address in HA KNX integration…

KNX yaml seems to be fine a reload works without problems.

Since i reloaded all yaml files and knx integration no error occured. i have to watch if they are coming again…

Problem happend again after 30 minutes.

I checked knx ip interface with permanent ping - is available all the time. I pinged my HA pi server and get errors every 30 seconds or so.

Maybe this connectivity error is the problem i dont know, i have not recognized this error in using home assistant but ping tells it…

My knx light switches are using states from knx. Why can this become unavailable. Does home assistant request for state information every x times?

In KNX my devices send their state if changed automatically. Should this be changend in HA?

They are set unavailable when the connection to the Knx interface is closed.

Every reconnect and then every hour.
