New Home Assistant user here. I had a Raspberry Pi lying around and decided to install it. I’m currently using Apple Home for most of my devices, and I was planning to add everything to HA, including devices not supported by HomeKit. I intend to expose those via HomeKit Bridge so that they remain accessible through the Apple Home app, as my partner prefers using it.
I thought this would be a smooth process, but I’m facing some challenges. The biggest issue is getting my Aqara G3 to work correctly on both Apple Home and HA. I removed it from Apple Home and added it to HA, but now I’m trying to add it back to Apple Home using the HomeKit Bridge. The camera does show up, but I only get video snapshots instead of a live stream, and I lose HomeKit Secure Video features like recording based on movement.
I’ve seen some older posts about this issue, but no real solutions. Has anyone found a decent workaround for this in the meantime?
