Local Calendars - Request the ability to change the colors

When you create a local calendar it assigned a color and if you create more they are all assigned different colors. i would like the ability to be able to change the colors of existing local calendars and the ability to choose a color when creating a new one

I am still unsure why this is not a thing sadly It needs to be done I see people ask for this many different places and would love to be able to change colors.

Also requesting this feature. (Also would be nice if colors of existing calendars wouldn’t change when adding a new calendar that changes the order alphabetically)

Exactly, I get really difficult to read colour combinations in dark themes, i.e. white text on very bright yellow background. This should be customizable and not changing every time when I add / remove another calendar.

We are used to see different colors depending who its primary for so please add this feature.

I would also like the ability to set my own colours for each of the local calendars I create - and not have them change when you add a new calendar. Appreciate whatever can be accommodated.

Please make such feature. I remember all my calendars/appointments by color, knowing which colors represents work/personal/birthday and etc…

I too would like to request this feature. What is the proper channel for issuing a formal request?

Anyone knows if there is any way to change colours in the calendars at the moment?

What actually controls the assignment of the colour currently when you create a new calendar, is it in the themes or somewhere else?

Since the GUI is on the roadmap, I am hoping this will be a priority as well.

I can’t tell from using the web page inspector. I suspect an indexed variable would have to be created like was done for the energy dashboard graph colours. https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/discussions/12397

Please - needed to see intuitively relevant entries for our several family members!!!

Please make a option for color changing.

not sure if this is the same ask, so let me add this:
colors would be perfect for recognizing events in a single calendar (usecase here: waste collection)

these are all showing identically, and hence require a click to identify the waste type

they’re created automatically, so would be a huge improvement if we could set a color in those automations
