Local irrigation control

Hi everyone

I have existing solenoid valves wired up to a central point I have had spruce irrigation running for many years.

However I would like it to run via local control.

Has anyone simply converted solenoid control over to Shelly relays for example? And just run the automation in node red or Home assistant

Seems like it could be pretty easily done

Plenty of examples on this forum.

I used an ESP running ESPhome. There is a sprinkler component which does everything you need.
