Probably one of the few reasons I run my NAS HAOS instances on a VM instead of bare metal on my NAS, if I could mount a couple drives to /media I would probably not need this setup, which breaks a lot.
There is already mount support with network mounts with cifs / nfs, now all we need is local mounts
I am running Home Assistant OS bare metal with the Frigate add-on functioning as a NVR. My Dell mini PC has a second SATA port available for recordings, but I am unable to mount it as storage. Therefore, I have had to connect the drive I purchased for Home Assistant to a separate PC and create an SMB share for recordings. However, this approach increases power consumption and the share frequently becomes unavailable.
