You can also add them as separate entities when you configure the device by un-ticking the “Do not add more entities” checkbox and going through the loop for each entity you wish to add.
Admittedly the documentation Adding/editing a device is not particularly clear ;-( … but I have found that true of all Free / Open Source Software.
I haven’t used the official (cloud) Tuya integrationmyself; but I assume you will want to delete the Tuya integration when you are satisfied with LocalTuya, and that will remove all the associated devices and entities.
I see! That makes more sense than typing templates. Oh how many hours I’ve already spent!
I still can’t get some stuff in official (cloud) Tuya working. Sirens don’t sound at all, and I don’t think LocalTuya has a siren type at all. Do you use them?
Also IR blasters, same thing.
Sorry, I have no experience with sirens
I use a broadlink RM4 mini to send IR (remote control) commands, but have found its usefulness somewhat limited by the physical arrangement of my small rented apartment.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Automation ! I have been going about two years, and gave up three times. I am still just scratching the surface; picking up enough to achieve the immediate issue. H have learnt to focus on one learning curve at a time, it is too easy to get overwhelmed. Looking back though, I have achieved a fair bit
How much support does HA have with broadlink RM4 mini IR? I have used it before, sold it for tuya to get it all on the same app. And to delete the extra broadlink app.
Hi there, could you please explain this in a little more detail? I When I add them as separate entities then it shows something along the lines of this entity is no longer provided
Wow, that post was from 2 years ago, and a fair bit has changed in that time.
I do not know what has changed with LocalTuya integration because I changed from LocalTuya to the TuyaLocal integration … and later swapped my Arlec PC191HA power switches to ESPHome.
FYI, I found that LocalTuya was a little awkward to use, and that TuyaLocal included more complete product definitions … but I had been able to adjust the LocalTuya was product definitions.
