While using both Google maps and Companion App, my phone (Google Pixel 7) updates its location frequently. My wife’s iPhone much less frequently.
This causes issues, primarily with Zone entering/exit. My phone is very quickly detected in a zone, while my wife’s may take some time, making automations useless.
Notice the blue line (Android) vs. purple (iPhone).
Anyone seeing a similar issue? Any recommendations?
Both companion apps are configured identically.
My wife and I both have Iphones and location updates are indeed quite slow. It is frustrating.

This page can help you understand how quickly each app updates location but yes android specifically while using any navigation app will be very fast (every 30 seconds by default, it can actually be as fast as every 5 seconds 
)

This is really terrible for iOS:
“The Home Assistant Companion App receives significant location changes from iOS. Whenever an update is received, it is sent to Home Assistant. Roughly, an update is received every time that your device transfers to a new cellular tower, a significant amount of time has passed (usually a couple hours) or a connection state changes and the system notices your location recently changed.”
iOS is basically useless if you want reliable zone enter/exit triggers

But I also have similar issues with my work phone.
Or actually worse.
But since it’s just the work phone I don’t really care.
The map that you show is from HA (and if so, how do you do that) or from your phone ?
That is just a map card in panel view.
I apologize for my ignorance, but I don’t think that I understand. I have Map in my HA but it only shows the current location and no history as shown in yours.
You need to use the map card:
Map card - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io)
And set the hours to show
Map card - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io)

Unfortunately, while I read your links several times, I still dont understand it. I’m sorry
New, and related, issue. whether using the Icloud or Icloud3 Integration, I keep getting frequent authentication messages on my Iphone, all while both Integrations keep working.
I have tried with deleting one of the two Integrations (and vice versa), but issue continues.
I ended up deleting both and use the location provided by the HA Companion App and so far that works without getting those annoying messages.
