Im having a nightmare with location tracking with both iphone and android. Sometimes it just does not update AT ALL.
Im not sure whats going on but its a real shame as I cannot use this useful feature for automations.
Any ideas what I can do to get this resolved?

Yea but it doesnt. For example, when entering the home zone, the alarm does not disarm and goes off becuase the person still shows as “Away”
Have you tried increasing zone radius? What’s your GPS accuracy like? This issue has been discussed in length over the years. Lots of good info in previous threads.
The link that @tom_l posted above is quite good for fault finding. On your phone, open the Companion App → Settings → Sensors. I get can set how often to update iPhone settings, accuracy. And I can see my exact GPS location updated to the Companion App (and then HA).
Yea I’ve been playing with all this for over a year, it will work then it just stops working.
Sometimes the location updates as expected, sometimes it does not. It’s just hit and miss.
