Full Disclosure: I’m in over my head and I know it.
That said, I managed to install HA on a Windows 10 laptop using Virtual Box. I made mistakes along the way but finally onboarded. Life was good and the bluebirds of happiness sang.
Then I shut it down. The next time I tried to log on I got the invalid username or password error.
From the CLI I muddled about with auth and it appears that it’s my username that’s invalid. My keyboard occasionally gives me double characters, and maybe that’s what happened and I didn’t notice when setting up the account.
I don’t know how to fix it. I have nothing to lose by starting over, entirely, but I don’t know how.
I know noob problems are a pain in the butt, but I’d sure like to make this work.
