Log of notifications?

Hi Folks-

I had been using Pushover for notifications. I realized that it was better to do the HA native notifications since you could have actionable replies.

The things I miss about using Pushover is that I had a log of messages. If I accidentally clear a message on my phone then I don’t have a way to go back and see what it was.

Have any of you dealt with this? One way seems to be to send double messages every time. I could send the ‘real’ notification to the HA app and then send an ‘archive’ copy of the messages to Pushover.

Is that dumb and overkill? Am I missing something?

Thanks for any insight.

I use Telegram webhooks instead of the companion app notifications. I can send the message to a particular group (e.g. system or general) and I can set the messages to automatically delete after a month.

I don’t bother duplicating with Companion App notifications - except for critical alerts (like leaks or smoke alarms) that can interrupt do not disturb mode (unlike Telegram which can not).

If you have an Android, you can enable Notification History which will bring up ‘Snoozed’ notifications as well as ‘Recently dismissed’ ones in the order as they were received across all apps.

Further down in the history you’ll eventually find a list by app for the ‘Last 24 hours’.
