I’m trying to get a log of times my Ring Doorbell was rung. I thought it would be straightforward as there’s an entity the state of which is the timestamp of the last time the button was pressed.
Only when I use that in a logbook card it seems that it updates more often although the state stays the same:
What would be the best way to get that list of times rung?

Go to the Devices & Services Page for your doorbell. Is there a binary sensor for the doorbell button?
That’s the one you want to log.
I have none that have the button in their name. I have 2 binary sensors (motion and ding) and 5 normal sensors (battery, volume, last activity, last motion and last ding).
The “ding” binary sensor is probably the one you want.
The log for the ding seems to log the same events as the “last_ding” in my first post (15:28, 14:11, …).
