Logging Into iOS App When Using Reverse Proxy

So, finally figured out how to set up a reverse proxy with my Synology NAS. I am also providing an SSL cert via the NAS. However, I keep getting an error when logging into the iOS app.

I enter my URL, https://mysite.duckdns.org and get the following error message…

The operation couldn’t be completed (Shared.TokenManager.TokenError error 1.)

If I use legacy authentication, it says my password is incorrect?

Everything works fine if I use a web browser on my phone or desktop, it’s just the app. I can also get the app to work if not using https. Any suggestions?

I can login with a reverse proxy by using username password. Have you tried that?

Yeah, just tried it after seeing something about nginx requiring it. Unfortunately, I get the same error. I am using the same username/password that works within any browser. It also shows it being secure, so the cert from the NAS is working.

Interestingly, if I use http://mysite.duckdns.org with legacy authentication, I get this error message…

The certificate for the server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “mysite.duckdns.org” which could put your confidential information at risk.

I have this same issue. Did you manage to get it fixed?

I have the same, it’s so annoying. Only the External URL on the IOS App it doesn’t work, all the rest works just fine!
