Does anyone have any experience with the Lolin (formerly Wemos) motor controller shield? I’ve been playing around for a few days with the shield connected to a Wemos D1 mini and hasn’t quite figured out how to get the motor turning. Most projects out there use other motor controllers triggered by pins as indicated by the ESPhome stepper motor wiki but the Lolin shield use I2C and the “stepper component” in ESPhome requires pins to work. I’ve found a Wemos github page with some Arduino IDE code for the shield and it triggeres some CW/CCW status and has the motor jerking back and forth but no suggestion on how to actually get it spinning.
