I’m looking for a light socket pass-through with USB.
Kind of like those light socket adapters that have AC plugs on the side that you can still screw a light bulb into, but instead of AC sockets it has USB.
The only thing I’ve found so far is the Wyze socket but I don’t think that’s compatible with HA.
I suppose it doesn’t have to be an IOT device, but it would be convenient.
Looking to power my doorbell project.
If it doesn’t do anything your best bet is the Wyze socket, or just plug a small USB charger into the socket adapter…what are you trying to do?
I’m making a doorbell cam out of the TTGO T-camera module. I was thinking I would have to solar power it unless I could get power from the porch light socket. No power outlets there.

kind of a cool hack, but also seems like a pretty bad idea.
