Looking for a Local-Only Smart Door Lock (EU Standard Compatible)

Hi everyone,
I’m not new to Home Assistant but new to this community.

I have a question because I haven’t been able to find the right answer.
I’m looking for a smart door lock that doesn’t require a keypad or fingerprint scanner, like Aqara locks. It needs to be compatible with EU standard cylinders and, most importantly, work locally! I don’t mind whether it uses Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee. Additionally, it should either use AA batteries or have the option to be hardwired for constant power. If it uses AA batteries, I can use adapters to provide constant power.

The security mechanism to lock or unlock the door will be managed through my Ubiquiti Access and Protect devices, with Home Assistant acting as the bridge between Ubiquiti and the smart door lock.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks!

Most of the “smart” locks have a button to interact the lock. You can wire it to Esphome dev board and abandon the original cloud. Use 3.3V power supply for 2AA battery locks/Esp or 5V supply for 3AA locks/ Esp.

Thank you, but I don’t want to manipulate anything regarding the regulations and insurance rules in Germany.

I live in Europe and I doubt there are any regulations for battery operated smart home device wiring.
Instead, most of the mains powered devices we talk about here on this forum, like Tuya smart switches, don’t fulfill our regulations.

And that’s the reason I don’t have even a single Tuya device in my home! I only use devices that meet regulations in the EU, especially Germany, like Shelly or NodOn!

Hey @saahy, have you found a suitable lock yet? I am looking for something similar!

I’m still looking and haven’t managed to find anything!
There are some options I could use with my Ubiquiti door opener, but they require replacing the entire entrance door, which is expensive.
Nuki could also be an option with a power pack connected to a constant power source, but the problem is that it’s not strong enough to rotate the key! especially when it’s warm outside and the key is harder to turn than on a normal day!
