We’re looking to setup IoT in a small hotel and need help to figure out if we’re on the right track or not, initially we were going to buy IoT devices and code our own integration for them with our software, however after researching our options, we’ve realized that using HA as the software layer to communicate with the Hardware might be the best approach.
After that we’ve decided to go with Z-wave based on our research as it seems like the most consistent quality, even if the devices do come at a bit of premium. At this point we’re looking into specific devices and how we’re going to link everything up, but due to the risk of a mistake causing us to buy a lot of expensive equipment and end up not using it we’d really like if someone experienced can hop on and assist us as a consultant (paid ofc).
