Looking for Countdown timer pushbutton wall switch suggestions

I’m looking for a wall switch with a button that when pressed supplies power for a timed period, then turns off. Desire features:

  • countdown timer ONLY, with no permanent ON feature
  • prefer programmable timer duration, if not then fixed duration no more than 1 hour
  • multiple duration buttons would be nice, again none more than 1 hour
  • pushing button again when it’s already on would manually turn it off
  • nice to have HA integration, but dumb device ok
  • twist dial style timer would be ok if it doesn’t have permanent ON mode

I’ve found some products that have multiple buttons (for instance: 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 2 hr, 4hr), but they all seem to have a permanent “on” button as well. And the 2 hr and 4 hr buttons are longer than I want to allow.

An example of something similar to what I’m looking for are those twist dial switches used at hotel hot tubs to activate bubbles for up to 15 minutes. But I’d prefer it to be a wall button and smart.

I have multiple uses for these in my short and mid term rentals:

  • activate a cadet wall heater in a bathroom while guest is in there, but not leave it on for more than 1 hour. I have guests who currently crank it to the max and leave it running forever, including after checkout.
  • activate a gas fireplace while lounging in the room, but not leave it running for the entire stay, while they are not at the house, etc.

The IDEAL product would also be smart so that I can monitor and control it via HA. A presence detection sensor might also be useful, but the timer functionality is most important.

Any product suggestions that might work?

I do wonder if there’s way to link the existing timer switch in the market (honeywell switch etc).

Esphome is probably the easiest way to store/start timer based on multi press action or using scene buttons (zooz zen32) but probably not your ideal choice.

I used this for my wall heaters. I think it’s everything you are looking for except smart. My use case there was no reason to be smart. I had to also use a relay/contactor as the wall heater is 240v. Works great. Not sure if the writeup for the switch is clear about this or not, but there is NO WAY to override the timer function. It will always turn off unless reactivated.

This looks exactly like what I’m looking for! Thank you so much for sharing. I will probably have to use a relay as well. I’ve never used Shelly devices before, but I wonder if there is a model that could provide relay features, but also make it “smart”.

Thank you! I’m going to try @carealtor suggestion first, but I’ll definitely look into your suggestions if that doesn’t pan out.
