I have some Zigbee lights on the outside walls of my property. They’re 15W Tuya Zigbee E27 RGBCW light bulbs. The white light (cool or warm) works well and is bright enough, but the colors and transition speeds aren’t very bright.
I’d like to do some holiday displays for Halloween and Christmas. Are there any options, preferably Zigbee-compatible, that are panel-shaped? I’m open to some DIY with LED strips, but I’m really bad at soldering, so I’d prefer to avoid it. I have no problem with electrical circuits, though. My bulbs are all on a circuit connected to a single circuit breaker, and I’m fine with removing the E27 sockets.
The new lights should be around 15-19 cm wide and 8-9 cm high.
My wifi network reaches all the lights, but my network is already a little bit saturated, and I need more room on it for some esp projects.
You could look into the philips hue, aqara or govee based E27 bulbs based on what is available to you, those three are generally the most reliable and accurate ones you can get imo.
I don’t need something outdoor rated, the fixture is already waterproof. Probably I’ll try something diy with cob led strips to hide the gaps. There are good enough ZigBee controllers and addressable rgbw compatible led strips?
