My mom just moved into a new place that has an old hunter RF remote controlled fan in it. We could make do if the default condition of the ceiling light was to turn on with the switch, but it defaults off meaning you have to turn on the light switch and then push the button on the remote. It’s driving my mom nuts and she’s begging for me to get them out of there.
I know that the fan is currently being controlled through a remote receiver in the fan base that I can remove and replace with a single gang fan+light control. I’m trying to find a light switch (not luetron Casata that would require another hub to control it) that I can install in it, but it seems like a lot of the best choices are devices that you USED to be able to flash to tasmota but now cannot.
Does anyone have a Zigbee or Zwave or Wifi single gang fan+light switch that they really love that home assistant can control locally?
