unable to load, at the first screen with “alarm and “weather entity” choice, I have no alarm thus not options and it gives me the error " Not all required fields are filled in”

Craig

Hi @iscraigh,

Thank you so much for being the very first tester of Linus Dashboard! :tada: Your feedback is incredibly valuable.

I’ve just pushed a fix (version 1.0.1) to handle cases where no entity is selected for alarms or weather. This should resolve the issue you encountered with the “Not all required fields are filled in” error.

Please update to the latest version and let me know if it works smoothly now. I’m here to help if you run into anything else!

Thanks again for your support—your testing makes all the difference!

Best regards,
Julien

didn’t have much of a chance to play with it but I did get it installed. I like the looks of it. I did notice that on a desktop the rows stay narrow, not the best use of the screen space. On my phone it looks great.

Craig

Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m glad to hear you like the look of Linus Dashboard. You’re absolutely right—there’s still work to be done on optimizing the layout for tablets and desktops, and I’m actively working on that.

Do you see any other improvements or features that could be worth considering for future updates? Your input is incredibly valuable and helps shape the direction of the project.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!
Julien

Thank you again @iscraigh for your valuable feedback on Linus Dashboard. A new version, 1.0.2, was released last night to address the issues you mentioned.

:rocket: Changes in version 1.0.2:

  • Improved desktop design: The dashboard layout has been optimized for desktop screens.
  • Security page improvements: Added badges for entities and automatically hidden hidden entities.
  • Added missing device classes: All device_class for sensor and binary_sensor are now supported.
  • Removed “Floor not found” title: The title is no longer displayed if no floor is configured.
  • New documentation: A troubleshooting section was added to the README to help resolve the timeout error.

Feel free to update to the latest version and let me know if everything works correctly on your side! Thank you again for your feedback—it’s thanks to you that the project keeps moving forward.
