i am new to this community as i am using Home Assistant only a few days, but with success, i think.
First i only use (tuya) esp devices such as Gosund EP2 that flashed successfully with tasmota but
i already have other tuya devices that aren’t equipped with esp chip, such as the “LoraTap RR500W” smart relay module. There are versions with esp chip but the ones that i use are with Tuya WB3S module that are equipped with BK7231T chip. I found some deivces that uses this module and already flashed successfully with OpenBeken but as i figured out there are other templates that aren’t look like the tasmota templates.
Does anyone have already flashed one of this LoraTap RR500W (WB3S) based smart relays and could say anything about?
Here are some pictures of the smart relay and the PCB:
the relays is already working with stock tuya software. I didn’t flash it right now.
So you mean, if the template for esp based pinout is workking it should also work with openbk?
Yes, assuming the chip is the only thing they’ve replaced (mostly)
You can still dump the stock firmware to extract the pinout later from the json file
I soldered wires to connect the wb3s module to USB ttl uart but i am not able to do anything. Neither read Flash nor Program will work. The bkwriter.exe quits with failed…
now i got managed to flash OpenBeken to LoraTap RR500W with WB3s module.
I reached the wifi ap of the devicer and tried initial configuration. But after connecting it to my wifi i am not able to access the config page anymore. Only in safe mode.
Seems, that the device is now accessible via wifi network. Mabe the wifi network was not strong enough. Changed position of the device near the router and all is fine.
And, i figured out that the “DS-101 1 gang switch” is a usable template. Only the leds needs to swap.
Only button does not work. Maybe i can measure, where the button is connected.
