I am little new to HA. Do must of you have a static ip for your pi or stick with DHCP?
If you are just starting, you don’t need to do anything.
However, if (or probably when) you need to refer to your pi from something else, such as a peripheral using IP, or accessing your setup from outside your network, then its best to use the same IP even if it isn’t essential - it is just one thing less to go wrong.
Most routers (or other dhcp server) can be configured to issue the same IP address to your Pi, from its MAC address, and that is generally the easiest way to do this. If you don’t have a router to do this, you have to set up a static IP on your Pi.
