Just cleaned up my router to get rid of APIPA ips and now cannot connect to HA with a Chrome GUI – Home Assistant is on the router’s device list as “Home Assistant” with ip address 192.168.7.47 ip can be pinged from a command line. The HA CLI command prompt shows on the RPi 5 GUI, also used the 4357 port and got this:

After sailing around Cape Horn in a dinghy, I finally seem to have arrived. The problem seems to have been that after changing my iP address as a result of reconfiguring my router, I needed to cut a new HA Rpi 5 image. After I did that I got a long text-based story associated with connecting to the 4375 site – instead just a banner. Created a fresh account to get back to square 1.
