Is it possible to add an attribute to a group definition so it will be hidden in an automatic generated Lovelace dashboard?
A long time ago that was possible. Not any more.

Do you remember why this was depricated? I feel comfortable with the autogen Lovelace and I managed (almost) to create a good dashboard. If I could group some clutter to a hidden group, this would be very helpfull.
How can I put this on the agenda again?

Don’t know when exactly, but if you search the release notes, it was when the old states UI was deprecated.
