Lovelace can’t load to default page, too many entities

My IPhone and IPAD HA app breaks when I login to HA. I’m trying to change the default Lovelace page to my small curated page, but I can never get to the settings page because it’s trying to load the default “overview” page. There are thousands (literally) of devices/entities it’s trying to poll and it crashes after 15 minutes or so.
How can I get the app NOT TO LOAD DEFAULT LOVELACE?
Help?

Can you open HA from a PC?
Go to Settings - Dashboards. Delete this automatically generated dashboard and then never ever create it.

I’ve always been tempted to do that, but it gives me massive warnings saying are you sure you wanna do this? Like it’s a really awful thing to do.

If it is the auto generated dashboard you can always create a new one later.
