Lovelace: Picture Path

Hello there

Sorry for the stupid q, but where can I store the pictures to access them directly with a Pic Glance Card?

  - type: picture-glance
    title: Media Center
    entities:
    - media_player.receiver
    image: local/images/media-center.png

I’m using nginx RevPrxy and Ubuntu 18 but am to dumb to find a lovelace folder…

Cheers, Luke

only /vaw/www and that doesn’t work.

You have to make the www folder in your /config directory.

Maybe we talk past each other.
Default config path for Ubuntu 18 is /home/homeassistant/.homeassistant/{$configfiles}
Once I create the www folder, I still can’t access the files. Permissions are set and owner is homeassistant Is there a documentation for that?

See ‘hosting files’ here:

You have to restart after creating the folder in .homeassistant

Me assuming you were using hassio didn’t help either :grimacing:

After much mucking around, putting files into the config www folder, and them not showing up when called, I found an answer. Check the capitalisation on your file extension. If the file extension is saved in caps, then you have to call it in caps!

hi Tom_I can you help me plse

I have a fplan1.png file in the directory /home/pi/homeassistant/config/www/fplan1.png

but it wont display in homeassistant
in a browser i enter http://ipadd:8123/local/fplan1.png but it comes back with 404 file not found. ( ha rasbian image running in docker)

And file name too: Auto.jpg -> auto.jpg don’t work!

short and beautifull … should be added somewhere in all those tiles cause I had suffered a lot from that and I was going crazy why the script were not working.

thanks a lot
