When I use the editor in ui not the yams config, where is the Lovelace UI config saved? If in home assistant DB I need to know that because sometime I clear the DB and delete the DB if to large.
Or is there a different storage place for the config?

at this point of time you can’t have the best of both worlds
in storage file is fine for me, just wanted to know where it is save so I do not delete it by accident. 
.storage is a Hidden folder note the . make it a hidden folder
