Lovelace YAML with UI Dashboards help

Hello,

Newbie here. While trying to use a dashboard created by a user I got to learn a lot of new things.

The first is that you can have either UI dashboard, yaml dashboard, or both.

The first two options are very straightforward but I know live in the hybrid era. Where I have my old working (not anymore) dashboards managed via UI and the testing dash that is YAML.

The problem is the resources, many cards are not showing up in my UI dash because the resources can’t be found. I tried to add the path of each of them in the config yaml but either I am missing something or they go somewhere else.

The YAML dash calls the resources it needs and that’s great. But the previous UI dash have lost it. Any help?

Are you using the storage method for the yaml dashboard?
On the UI dashboard top right click edit dashboard then manage resources and add them there.

I am not. I am using yaml mode. If I switch to storage, will I be able to manage the resources on the UI?

I was trading that you still need them added to the yam file.

I can’t actually find the documentation any more on storage mode and I set mine up years ago.
But this is how my tablet dashboard is.

Is the tablet.yaml the equivalent of ui-lovelace.yaml I have?

Hi sorry you didn’t reply to me so I didn’t get a notification.
I don’t think they’re the same no I think that’s a file for the UI dashboard I may be wrong.
