I’m at a loss…

My M5Stack Atom Echo is completely setup but fails to respond to my requests. It does work in the sense that it executes the command. And it gives the status responding too but nothing can be heared…

Voice assistant on my phone does work. It gives a reply and says it aloud.

Custom wakeword is working too…

What can I do?

Is this your only esphome voice device? Do the others show this error?

Do you have esphome device configurator installed? If so you can watch live log from device as you make command.

If not look at settings >> voice assistants >> [three vertical dots] next to your assistant >> debug
You can see last command and any issue that may have occurred. This may help you.

I don’t have esphome device configurator but I will see the debug!

Settings >> system >> network >> “local network” must be address reachable by voice device.

Can it access the “local network” address?

Reconfigured it and let it connect to the same network now. Same issue… I did not think of that tough… might be faulty speaker then…

The slight noice remains… not every time tough

I bought a “Home assistant - Voice assistant” and hooked it up. Works like a charm… I guess the speaker of the echo is broken…
