Magic Home Integration - HDMI switch support or lights only?

Hi,
I found this HDMI switch which can be controlled by the Magic Home app :

Before buying it, I would like to know if it shows in the HA magic home integration, since on the integration page only bulbs, switches and LED lights are mentionned.

I bought another Wi-Fi-enabled switch claiming Alexa support for $20: https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-HDMI-Switch-Voice-Control/dp/B09R6Y5TTK/

The front panel looks exactly the same as SIIG’s, so I assume they are the same device underneath. It also looks very similar to a “dumb” IR switch - Kinivo HDMI Switch 350BN: https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-Premium-5-Port-Switch-Remote/dp/B07CRSJLJ2/

The app (Magic Home-Smart Home) has a confusing name - it’s a rebrand of Broadlink and has nothing to do with the well-known Magic Home (app name “Magic Home Pro”).

  • My Android 14 phone refuses to download the app due to it’s developed for an older version. I was able to sideload the APK and launch it.
  • The terms and conditions have Broadlink’s company name, but Magic Home doesn’t share the same account with Broadlink.
  • The attempt to pair the HDMI switch with Broadlink app failed, as it claimed the device’s in a wrong region.
  • It only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and was unable to connect to my OpenWRT router in WPA2/WPA3 auto mode. I had to change it to WPA2 only.
  • Alexa and Google Home integration didn’t work; Alexa shows device type “Other” and is unable to control it, while Google Home shows the device but it’s always offline. The “Magic Home-Smart Home” app itself still works, though.
