Hey there everyone, I’m new to home assistant and I have been looking everywhere for the answer to this but I can’t seem to figure it out.
I want to create an automation where when light_1’s brightness or temperature changes light_2’s brightness and temperature change to match. I’ve seen some examples but I can’t get them to work maybe I’m placing the YAML in the wrong spot. does it all go in the When, or the Then Do section.
There are a multitude of ways including using the attributes of the 1st light or you can create a group light using the Helper option. It is under Devices and services. The lights will work in sync.
Can you describe your scenario?
Interesting this works but when I change one light on its own the other light doesn’t match the first light.
It won’t, you’d have to change the group. An automation would be needed to execute what you just described.
