More of a modest suggestion than a request, since the Energy Dashboard is an outstanding feature. But it does sit rather awkwardly with the rest of HA. As far as I can see:
- It’s the only dashboard in the default configuration. Not everybody wants it, and it’s a pain to have to hide it in all your browsers.
- It’s the only dashboard to have an attached configuration page.
- It’s the only dashboard where layout is fixed.
- Energy cards can be used elsewhere, but they still have to be configured in the energy dashboard (even if you’re not using it).
It gives the impression of being a bit “bolted on” and is probably confusing to new users.
I would suggest moving the configuration page to the settings menu (like voice assistants) and removing it from the default configuration. Users should construct their own energy dashboards (if they want them) from the existing cards.
