Make lights flash when alarm is triggered - Obsolete?

Hi All,

I have been doing some research on how to make my lights flash when my alarm is triggered and shut off when it is disarmed.

I have seen various forum posts, and youtube videos, going back as far as 2016. Some say make an automation, some say make a script and tie it to scenes, some reference [light.turn_on].

My question - what should I ignore/is obsolete and what should I use for this?

Oh, and I am using Alarmo for my alarm.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Use whichever method you find to be easiest to implement.
