This feature request is about using “Manage Entities” GUI from Alexa and Google Assistant integration to configure Recorder (and maybe History) component. I find this interface very clear and intuitive. This is basically the same functionality: choose domains and entities exposed to component.

I believe that the recorder and history components although very helpful have not gotten any love on the recent GUI changes.
This makes (primarily new) users (including me at some points) ignore or avoid setting them up correctly as it works out of the box and they would rather not fiddle with something they don’t understand.
People just ignore their DBs and they are getting huge (I recently saw one over 50gb full of nothing interesting).

Bringing the logging and recorder settings to the UI, for example to entity configuration. This makes it less annoying to add new entities and turning logging off.
I’m really digging the .yaml less life.
A nice list of checkboxes that would let us select what is being monitored by recorder.
Also an indication of how many entries per day each entity makes to help us decide.
thanks, I will. But please notice the most important part of the request is to actually use already existing UI interface for that.
I don’t really love the cloud ui, but any ui is better than no ui
