Manual edit of broadlink_remote_x_codes to add additional codes?

Okay I’m beginning to grasp HASS better (but not totally). I’ve managed to add some MQTT entities, added a card for the entities and I’ve been playing with the Broadlink Black Bean RM3 (mini) IR remote.

I’ve been editing the file:

/usr/share/hassio/homeassistant/.storage/broadlink_remote_34ea34bb1427_codes

Will that remain after a restart or reboot?

I have one of my devices configured for some of the IR codes and I’ll add more a bit later. But I have 2 of these devices and I’d like to take the codes that have been already learned and just add them to the second one. What’s the easiest way to tell HASS that there are new code so I can use them? Do I have to totally restart HASS? I know I don’t need to restart Linux.

Yes it will remain after a reboot. I do this to copy codes from one remote to another.
