Is this maybe related to a situation where you don’t have access to the internet?
Not really
I want it for testing purposes to see if my automations that are set to trigger on a certain date and time will trigger correctly
So i wanna set ha to that date and time and see that it works
I test my date/time automations by setting the date/time trigger for example 5 minutes in the future
You know you can test each action your automation triggers, right?
There is also another option to test an automation: copy the conditions & actions to a script which you can run manually.
Thanks all
The thing is im trying to set an automation based on a jewish_calendar holiday and i wanna make sure that ive put in the condition right
So to set it a few min in the future wont help me
I don’t know the calandar integration. Can you manually add events to it?
If so you can simulate an event by adding it and set the date/time 5 minutes in the future.
Otherwise please follow the other instructions of @Nick4 or @kahilzinger
Maybe more info is needed about your specific situation
5 minutes is to short!
From Calendar - Home Assistant
Note that calendars are read once every 15 minutes. When testing, make sure you do not plan events less than 15 minutes away from the current time, or your trigger might not fire.
Thanks Nick, didn’t know that.
