Maria DB Configuration?

I am using HassOS. I just installed Maria DB.The documentation says to add a number of parameters to the configuration file. I tried adding it to configuration.yaml, but that must be the wrong file.
If I edit via the app configuration tab, that works and the DB starts up. Where is this data stored?

I added the recorder: line to configuration.yaml. I see the following in the log. I don’t know where this IP is coming from!
2022-09-07 10:29:10 19 [Warning] Access denied for user ‘homeassistant’@‘172.30.32.1’ (using password: YES)

It seems like the db is running however.

That is where I put the data. I was just looking for where the actual file was like configuration.yaml,
I guess that it is just stored in the database.

All appears to be working except the strange error below.
