Matter Add-On Won't Start

HA running on Pi 4.

Maybe related to doing a full restore after things mysteriously went wrong during updates a couple of weeks ago.

When I try to start matter server add-on I get this error:

2024-03-24 18:58:56.930 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.matter] Failed to start the Matter Server add-on: 500 Server Error for http+docker://localhost/v1.43/containers/addon_core_matter_server/json: Internal Server Error ("stat /mnt/data/docker/overlay2/12c136a6f6ff3300dc2772d823750bfb6082aee67f48726f060b596e5c5f8876: no such file or directory")

I’ve tried removing the add-on, reinstalling it and restarting HA OS but no joy. Any ideas?

Power off the computer (no reboot, power off) and start it again.

I’m a great fan or “turn it off, turn it on again” but on this occasion sadly it’s not helped… I’ve also tried uninstalling the add-on, then shutdown/start, then installing it again… also not helped.

In case anyone finds this I fixed it by removing the add-on and then SSH-ing to the HA OS and running docker system prune before re-installing the add-on.

Take care with that docker command though!
